The Washington Post April 8,1933 "Sacrifice Killing" Jury Is Selected in Kentucky Inez, Ky., April 7 A jury of twelve men and an alternate from adjoining Johnson County was completed in Martin County Circuit Court to try nine relatives indicted after the "sacrifice slaying" of Mrs. Lucinda Mills, 68. No women were among the venire of 50 summoned from Johnson County after only one man, W.D. Copley, had been accepted from a Martin County venire of 30, which had included several women. Copley was dismissed when selection of the Johnson County jury was begun. |
