| Bill's note* I don't know where the obituary got the name "Mitchell Lee VanHoose" for the father of Winfield Scott VanHoose. His parents were Levi and Nancy Dixon VanHoose. Mitchell Lee was Winfield's grandson and the son of Brownlow VanHoose (Winfield's son). Winfield's 1st wife was Martha Roberts. She died in 1917 and he married Amanda Ward in 1919. | ||||||||
