Jean's note* Richard VanHoose was Jefferson County school superintendent and a pioneer in educational television in Kentucky, pioneered the use of closed-circuit television as a tool for education in Jefferson County schools, was a former chairman of the Georgetown College Board of Trustees and a former president of the Kentucky Education Association, Kentucky Association of School Administrators and Kentucky Council on Economic Education. Jean's note per obit* James L VanHoose was serving his second term as mayor of the town of 2,000 in Lawrence County. Was appointed by the Louisa City Council to serve as interim mayor in June 1992. His father Edgar served five terms as mayor. |
