Married Clarice Isaacs, Lebanon, Kentucky on June 19, 1937. She was the daughter of Sam and Marie (McDonald) Isaacs; c-Marie Dixon; Warren Evans. Exp.: Teacher, Franklin County and Frankfort, Kentucky Schools in 1933-39; Principal of Frankfort Elementary School, 1939-43: Superintendent of Anchorage Public Schools in Kentucky from 1943-46. Marie Dixon VanHoose Sayre and husband Eugene G Sayre. Marie has a B.A. University of Kentucky  (Fashion Design and Merchandising) and a M.A. Southern Methodist University (Dallas) (Secondary Art Education) and teaching credentials in KY and TX (Art and History). She taught art and history in junior high, and is now retired. She lives in Little Rock Arkansas. She is the d/o Richard & Clarice Isaacs VanHoose, granddaughter of Warren Maitland &  Erie Dixon VanHoose, great granddaughter of Henry Jefferson & Nancy Baldwin VanHoose, gg granddaughter of James & Elizabeth Preston VanHoose

Many thanks to Marie, she has sent many documents as well as SIX GENERATIONS of family photos. One article that is of particular interest to our VanHoose history is a newspaper article which features a story about the land that our first immigrate  ancestor " Jan Franz Van Hoesen " bought from Indians in 1662
