Willard Castle

Willard Castle, 90, of McVeigh, Ky., died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at his home. Born May 24, 1910, in Johnson County, Ky., he was the son of the late Harrison and Zeta Vanhoose Castle.

He was a retired coal miner from Elkhorn Coal Co. and Eastern Coal Corp., and a member of the Masonic Lodge at Wayland, Ky.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie Daniels Castle. Survivors: son, Michael H. Castle, McVeigh, Ky.; daughter, Mary Lois (Bill) Williamson, Waterville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Charles Hounshell and Michael Hounshell, Ohio, Lois Jean Peppers, Ohio, Sherry Loar, Michigan, and Jackie Denise Alford, Stem, N.C. sisters, Roberta Weaver, London, Ky., and Beulah Joyce. Pitts­burgh, Pa.; 10 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grand­children. ,

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Rogers Funeral Home with Minister Ron Sanger officiating Burial: Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Ky.Visitation after 6 p.m. today and Saturday at the funeral home.
