| Miss Thelma "Tillie" Daniels(my g-aunt) enjoying her self at the event, at the age of 93 she still looked forward to this event of the year, she loved to visit with old friends and past students. Here is what a few others had to say about Tille: Miss Daniels attended the Wayland Homecoming over labor day weekend this year. many former students and friends were so glad she was able to come. Some classes held reunions during the homecoming and she attended each one. The 1952 class held their 50th reunion after the parade on Saturday and Miss Daniels was given a big applause and lots of pictures were taken with her. she seemed to enjoy all the attention. she was the home room teacher for that class. the day turned out to be like her last "official" act. she was a classy lady and excellent teacher, she will be missed. * * * Tilly Daniels If you look up "lady" in the dictionary, you will probably see Tilly Daniels' picture next to it. She was refined and lovely and I enjoyed her English classes more than any other. Linda Coleman Florian * * * Our hearts broke when we learned of Miss Daniels death. I think everyone will agree that with her passing a part of Wayland went with her.We would have been there with her Saturday but unfortunaly our cousin"s funeral, Billy Tom Turner, husband of Kitty Branham Turner, is also tomorrow in Monroe, Ohio. We will be with the family here but all of our hearts will also be with Miss Daniels. This lady influnced more peoples lives than anyone can ever know.I don't think a better teacher ever was in the state of Ky. She will be missed by all.
